Kristen Fisher
Kristen has been a group exercise instructor since 1995 and a certified Personal Trainer since 1999. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology and a Master’s degree in Kinesiology. Kristen loves working at Chico Sports Club and has been teaching here since 2010. In 2015 she became the Group Exercise/ Spinning Director. She teaches Pump, Zumba, Stretch & Recover Gentle Yoga, Spinning, Aquatics, and senior classes. In addition to group fitness, Kristen also works as a Personal Trainer at Chico Sports Club, where she specializes in exercise and aging.

Sunya Sather
Carolyn was raised in Chico and was competitive in various sports: gymnastics, track, volleyball, and obstacle course racing. Her passion for sports and movement, instilled by her parents and grandfather, Dr. Wayne Dawson, led her on the path to become a Coach and Personal Trainer. Carolyn enjoys helping people of all ages discover and improve upon a fit and healthy lifestyle. In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball, gardening, and running with her dog.

Sunya has worked in nearly every facet of a gym including roles as a General Manager, Fitness Director, Trainer, and GroupEx instructor. She began her career in the fitness industry in 2010, when she went through a six-month program at the National Personal Training Institute. While she was there, she received a Diploma in Personal Training, which includes 100 hours of Nutrition and 500 hours of practical application, in addition to her PT Certification. She then went on to get certified in several group training platforms including Yoga, Yoga Sculpt, Insanity, BodyShred, TRX and more. Sunya enjoys working with individuals of all ages and abilities, she currently has clients from the ages of 13 to 92, and was recently certified in Ageless Fitness by the Functional Aging Institute. Her heart and passion is to see lives changed for the better and understands that the most effective way to live our best lives, is to stay active, mobile and thriving physically, which carries into every other aspect of our lives.

Jean Dewey
As a mature trainer, Jean has a clear understanding of what older adults are going through physically, mentally, and socially. She loves helping clients gain strength, improve balance, and feel good about themselves. Jean first started training in 1985 in the Palo Alto area through a program she created called “Home Stretch” and has been training or teaching ever since!

Amy Drew
Amy Drew has been AFAA Certified Personal Trainer since 2005. She also hold multiple certifications in TRX, Schwinn and Kaiser Cycle, Kettlebell Amped, PHI mat and props Pilates, Balanced Body reformer Pilates. Currently working on ACE health and wellness coaching certification. Amy has worked for small studios and in clubs for over 15 years and enjoys sharing her knowledge and instructing people that want to improve form and help relive their pain through movement.
She is a mom of two boys and loves watching them play sports and helps with them whenever they let her. She and her family enjoy camping and paddle boarding in the summer and skiing in the winter. She is a daily walker of her two beloved golden retrievers and even makes time for the family cat.

Melinda has been an instructor in the Kinesiology Department at Butte College for the past 22 years. She currently teaches Jazz Dance, Gentle Yoga, Yoga I and Pilates for Butte College. She has choreographed the musicals for Butte College for over 20 years and has been teaching dance in the community for the past 26 years. She currently teaches jazz dance, musical theatre, tap and ballet for a local studio in Chico. She has a BA from CSU-Chico in Theater Arts and is a certified personal trainer through AFAA. Melinda has been teaching Classic Sculpt, Pump Express and Sit-n- Be Fit at Chico Sports Club for almost 2 years. Some of her passions include dance, musical theater, H.I.I.T, gardening, and being outdoors. She strives to keep a lifelong commitment to fitness and a healthy lifestyle.

Caitlin graduated as a first generation student from Chico state. She owns her own business, a women's clothing boutique. She also loves to travel and do fun thrill seeking things! She has been skydiving, and ever since then, she knew she liked to chase those fun and exciting moments. When she’s not in the gym training, she loves spending time outdoors, being at the lake, and going on hikes.

Background:
Jason Russell began his fitness journey back in 2014. During the offseason in between sports, he turned to the gym in order to maximize his effectiveness on the court and field. But what he found was a passion that has only grown stronger with each passing day. In 2018, Jason joined the United States Marine Corps, completing the most physically challenging bootcamp the military has to offer. Not long after joining the reserves, Jason was appointed the Fitness Training Chief of his entire reserve training base, being tasked with creating workouts for military members and helping Marines prepare for the physical rigors of life in the military. He has worked in gyms since 2020 and obtained his certification from NSCA, as well as a Stronglifitng Coach Certification. He has trained kids as young as 10, adults as old as 80, athletes and nonathletes. For him, it doesn’t matter who he is tasked with training, Jason puts everything he has into every aspect of training, period.
