Position Title: Facilities Attendant

Supervisor: Facilities Lead/Operations Director
Objective: To provide superlative service to Chico Sports Club members and guests in performing all facility attendant duties
Level: Staff

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clean building from floors to walls by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming from the front of the building to the back.

Replenish supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, seat covers, etc.

Gather and empty trash.

Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using glass cleaner or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.

Dust/wipe down/sanitize furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.

Follow a strict cleaning log in which it specifies what areas of the gym you are to clean depending on what shift you work during the day. This must be done by initialing and time stamping after completion of each task.

Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.

Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.

Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.

Notify supervisor concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.

Carry towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts, hand carts, or by hand as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Education:  High School Diploma and/or experience in facility operations

Licenses& Certifications:  CPR Certification

Knowledge & Abilities:  Must be able to communicate clearly with managers and other personnel.  Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.  Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours). Must have the ability to learn and follow direction and have excellent people skills.
